Bon ton roulet! It’s fat Tuesday and that means – time to party. Unless you are, like me, sitting in a grey cube in corporate craziness. I went to Marti Gras back in 1990 with a whole crew of Lamda Chi’s from Mizzou. Great times, although I can’t post any pictures of that visit… I found a nice web camera shot from events earlier today looking down Burbon Street. Man, this is where I need to be.
We were cold last night so the boys and I made a roaring fire. Here is Wesley sitting shotgun at the fire spot.
Well well well I’m now into my last year of being young. Family came down to celebrate my 39th birthday party. Thank to all for the wonderful gifts. I don’t feel middle aged…
Well, due to the recession and budget cuts across the country by all big corporations, it does not look like I will be attending the Web 2.0 expo this year in person. I have been the last three years and I’m kind of bummed out I will not be going. I meet alot of cool “techy” people over the years, sat through some powerful 2.0 discussions and generally felt at home with the design and development crowd in San Fran. Even though I won’t be there in person I will be following presentations and blogosphere closely and will be posting all relevant information at my sister blog – cribb notes. Here is a picture of San Fran last year from the W.
Thanks Dad for coming down to stay with the boys on Friday. Seems like they were talking about “Jose” Grandpa all weekend. We got out and had a great dinner at the Elephant bar out in Leawood. Here is a picture of Wesley and Laura out at a local restaurant this winter.
The cribb family has booked their trip to the Caribbean Islands to party it up for the week and attend Chris and Megan’s wedding. Looking forward to warm days slacking around a beach with a stiff drink in my hand. Just to get us in the mood I will post one of my favorite pics of our mexican beach view two years ago.
Man the winters just drag on an on in the midwest. Its been months since a BBQ and soccer game in the backyard. The kids are doing ok but only continue to stay occupied if they are hitting each other or breaking something in the house. When is spring coming?
